​Artis Blackheath Covid-19 enhanced procedures: 24.06.2020
 
Here at Artis Blackheath we are making changes to adhere to the standard government guidelines. These requirements and precautions are set to make sure you and our team are as safe as
possible whilst still enjoying your experience with us.
 
Keeping you safe:
Rest assured that Artis Blackheath will undergo a vigorous sterilisation process prior to opening and once fully opened these processes will be carried out at regular intervals.
  • We will provide hand sanitisers at all points of entry and in the washrooms.
  • We will be running at a reduced capacity in order to meet government guidelines on social distancing.
  • All seating directly at our bar will be removed.
  • Our washroom entrance has been fitted with a foot pull to minimise hand contact.
 
 
Bookings:
  • Please be aware that in line with government guidelines we encourage that bookings at Artis Blackheath are limited to members of any 2 households or support bubbles.
  • We encourage all reservations to be made in advance and that by doing so you adhere to the government guidelines. These can be found on govt.uk
  • Upon entering Artis Blackhath, you are responsible for adhering to social distancing guidelines which will be clearly displayed
  • If you are accompanied by children you are responsible for supervising them at all times to ensure they follow social distancing guidelines
  • We will stagger all seating times to avoid unnecessary queuing
  • By choosing to visit Artis Blackheath you agree to adhere to our and the government      covid -19 policies and procedures.
 
 
 
Our Team:
  • All teams will be subject to having their temperature checked before working and will be sent home if a temperature is detected.
  • Our staff will refrain from physical contact with each other where possible and where not deemed necessary for their employment.
  • Teams must travel to and from work in personal clothes and shoes, changing on site into their uniforms.
  • All common areas will be wiped down with sanitiser spray hourly. This includes door handles, push pads, and washrooms, till systems, PDQ machines and stations.
  • Full PPE will be provided for all staff members should they wish to use
  • We will endeavour to minimise contact between from and back of house staff
 
 
 
 
Your Dining Experience:

  • Please be aware that in line with government guidelines we encourage that bookings are limited to members of any 2 households or support bubbles
  • If you are accompanied by children you are responsible for supervising them at all times to ensure they follow social distancing guidelines
  • We encourage you to use the hand santisers provided when entering the restaurant
  • Disposable menus will be provided and disposed of after each use
  • We will be Providing only disposable condiments or cleaning non- disposable condiment containers after each use
  • We will continue to sanitise the tables and chairs after each use
  • We will no longer be providing the bill in a wallet
  • We encourage contactless payment where possible
 
 
Cleaning in the Workplace:
Continuing with our standard cleaning processes we will
  • Frequently clean objects and surfaces that are touched regularly including counters, tills, and making sure there are adequate disposal arrangements for cleaning products.
  • We will Clean surfaces and objects between each customer use. For example, cleaning tables, card machines, chairs, trays and laminated menus in view of customers before customer use.
  • Frequently clean work areas and equipment between use
  • Maintain good ventilation
  • Have a high frequency of hand washing throughout the day
  • Provide hand sanitiser in the washrooms

General Terms and Conditions:
1. Booking procedure and confirmation
A telephone request from the client will reserve the booking provisionally for up to 7 days. The terms & Conditions and reservation details herein as well as the deposit amount set out in clause 2. should be signed, returned and paid to Artis Blackheath within those 7 days in order to confirm the booking details for the function. In the event that these terms & Conditions and reservation details are not signed and returned within the 7-day period or that the deposit is not paid Artis Blackheath may release the provisionally booked function.
Should the booking date be less than 30 days from the initial telephone request the signed terms & conditions, reservation details and deposit are required immediately in order to secure the booking.
Any changes to the contract and booking details must be made in writing no later than 14 working days prior to an event and will be of no effect unless acknowledged in writing by Artis Blackheath. In the event that this agreement is signed in the name of a company, partnership, agency, firm, club or similar society, the person signing represents to Artis Blackheath that he has full authority to sign such a contract. In the event that they are not so authorised they will be personally liable for the complete performance of this contract.
2. Minimum spends, deposit, pre-payments and settlement
Artis Blackheath requires guests for the exclusive hire of the Main dining room, a deposit of at least £1,000 to secure the date and a room hire fee will be added dependant on the time and day of your event. For parties of 10 or more in the main dining room a £10 per person deposit is required to secure the booking.
Prices and minimum spend include VAT at the current rate but exclude a service charge at 12.5%. 
The customer shall be required to pay a deposit to Artis Blackheath to secure the date of the event as detailed in section 1. The remaining food bill then must be pre-paid for all size parties main room at least 14 days in advance. Your sundries bill must be settled in full on the day of the event, for exclusive use of the main dining room full payment is due two weeks before. Your deposit will be deducted if all guests are in attendance. No account facilities are available therefore should any client not pay the final amount on the night of the event the payment will then be charged to the.
In the event of unpaid bills by the organiser or individuals attending the event, interest will be payable by the customer on all sums due calculated on a day to day base rate of 2% per calendar month from the due date of payment until the actual date of payment. The interest is to be paid before, as well as after, any judgement (such obligation to be an independent judgement). Any queries concerning the accounts or complaints must be submitted in writing within seven days of the date stated on the bill.
3. Final Numbers
Final numbers for any event must be confirmed in writing at least 14 working days prior to the event date. We reserve the right to charge for the full number of people. This will be the menu price per person cancelled, or for reduced a la carte bookings a £10.00 per person cancelled. Artis Blackheath will make every reasonable endeavour to accommodate any increase in numbers and will charge accordingly for providing this service but cannot be held responsible for failure to provide such accommodation or service.
Guests are to arrive on time and be seated together to dine. We reserve the right to deny late arrivals and hold no responsibility for delays if schedules are not met.
4. Cancellation by Artis Blackheath
Artis Blackheath may cancel a booking without any liability being incurred whatsoever if: -
• Artis Blackheath is closed down due to events and circumstances beyond our control such as fire, staff dispute, lock out or by order of public authority or any circumstances outside the control of Artis Blackheath.
• The customer becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation/receivership
• The customer is in breach of any of the terms and conditions
• The customer fails to pay the requested deposit
5. Cancellation by the customer
All cancellations by the customer must be made in writing to Artis Blackheath and be formally acknowledged. Artis Blackheath will refund deposits where notification has been received 30 days in advance of the function date; if cancellation is made within 30 days of the event the deposit will be non-refundable and forfeited. If the event is cancelled within 14 days, we will charge the full menu price per person. If you are unable to attend for any reason (including but not limited to strikes, severe weather, accidents, industrial actions) then your booking will be treated as a cancellation and all payments will be retained.

6. Menu
We require that you choose the same menu for all members of your party. Your choice of menu and wines must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event with pre order. If your party reduces in size after your final orders have been received, your food will be charged on the final guest numbers which are required 7 working days prior to your event. Only wines and spirits supplied by Artis Blackheath are permitted for consumption on our premises. Menu content is correct at the time of going to print but may occasionally be subject to minor changes.
7. Prices
All prices are current at the time of going to print and include VAT or other government taxes where appropriate. Artis Blackheath reserves the right to amend prices and consider any changes in the rate of VAT or other taxes.
8. Signage
The fixing of signs, displays, posters etc may only be carried out with the consent of Artis Blackheath and must be fixed using a non-permanent material to prevent damage and removed by yourself.
9. Loss or Damage
Artis Blackheath will not be liable to the customer or any person claiming through the customer for any loss or damage caused by, or arising from, its failure to carry out any obligation under this agreement due to anything beyond our control of Artis Blackheath. Artis Blackheath will not be responsible to the customer or any person, claiming through the customer, for any loss of business or profit, or any other consequential loss however arising, including delay or failure to carry out any of its obligations under this agreement. The customer agrees to be responsible and shall indemnify Artis Blackheath against all damages occasional to the restaurant, the fixtures and fittings caused by an act, default, or negligence of the customer or staff, agents or guests of the customer. Artis Blackheath hereby excludes any liability to the customers resulting from any negligent act or omission of Artis Blackheath or its agents or employees in connection with this agreement or otherwise, except that Artis Blackheath’s liability to the customer shall not be limited to death or personal injury resulting from its own negligence or that of its agents.
Artis Blackheath shall not be held responsible for the death or bodily injury arising from any cause whatsoever to:
• Person visiting the allocated space on behalf of, at the invitation of, or the request of, the customer, or
• Person employed by the customer whether such death or injury occurs within the allocated space or in any part of the restaurant unless caused by the neglect of Artis Blackheath.
10. Third party Suppliers
Artis Blackheath reserve the right to decline the employment by the client or
any of its guests to any photographer, toastmaster, band, musician or any other person in connection with the event but will without obligation be pleased to give the client and its guests the benefit of Artis Blackheath’s advice or recommendations in the respect. Any such person so objected by Artis Blackheath shall not be employed by the client of any of its guests. On the occasions when the client arranges any third-party supplier or contractor direct, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that Artis Blackheath fully informed of all arrangements. Furthermore, the client must ensure that the third party provides adequate insurance and observed all health and safety requirements.
